  NEW RELIGION! NEED INPUT!

  this is sort of a take-off of the "what should the wt do" thread.. i need to get together a board of directors and elect a president and officers.

  we need to figure out a doctrine, a manifesto, and a set of disciplinary rules.

  we need to figure out a way to fund our new movement.

  with great honor do i recieve this post, and will do all in my power to uphold its responsabilities. i will begin by hiring bookies, "protection" for them, and of course umpires. by protection, i am being discreet denying any possible and future alligations to the. . .(see im on the post already, already denying)
  unanswered your services will be required in my dept. aside from what the "boys" will need for their protection, i will need a guard dog for the entrance to my lair, if you can do something in a 3-headed model that would be delightful.
  as lord of bondage, i shall also be seeking a consort which i will dub mistress of enslavement, she must be proficient with various forms of binding techniques (scarves, silk ropes, cuffs, cords, etc). she must have a preference for leather and fetish gear, tall boots and fishnets.
  i will like to set a committee with simon, tr, and unanswered, for the recruiting of nymphs, right after babtisms. i feel the timing would be appropriate for them to display their loyalty and dedication to our cause. the duties of the nymphs will include cheerleading, entertainment, ritual service, but will also be on call for unexpected calls where their need might be greatly needed.

  trying to understand

  i'm 18 and my boyfriend is 16 and an active jw.i'm a baptist and very stong in my belief and love of god.my boyfriend and i haven't been together that long but were very serious and plan on getting married (when the time is right).we both know that we have no intentions of raising our children jw but as baptist and he tells me that he wants to get out of jw but right now its very hard for him because he still lives with his parents and his mother and oldest sister are very active jw.and i understand all that its just that because i love him so much i want to understand about his life and the way he was raised and what he was raised to believe but hes made it very clear that he doesnt want to explain it or talk about it hes told me some stuff but very little.i'm just wondering about their beliefs and what the jw's have to say about us dating and just any information anyone can provide!!!

  by far these have got to be the most "sincere" and truthful comments i have ever heard leave an elders mouth:
  "We though stand out as having one of the most arrogant and controlling leaderships you will ever find.
  "will find some negative comment about Jehovah's Witnesses and many disserved.
  "You will hear of corrupt leadership, tolerance of child molestation, needless deaths due to refusal of blood transfusions, lost opportunities due to a strange attitude toward higher education, marriage, childbearing and a host of subjects in which I regret to admit we should never have got involved"

  at first read, i really believed it was genuine, but as usual this compassion was directed to an outsider not an insider. for a second i thought the organizaton was truly concerned with the spiritual well being of the flock. so i went back and re-read just to make sure i had the meaning of what you were saying:

  "I regret this yet we still have a body of basic beliefs that is hard to find anywhere
  "you may hear so much of this about JW's it is easy to forget that the Catholics, Baptist and all other denominations have similar if not worse histories"
  at second read though, i sit here and shake my head, for two reasons:
  1. because of how typical it is for you to point the finger and say how much better the witnesses are than everyone else.
  2. because its easy to alleviate your own guilt by pointing at others and taking the focus away from you.
  
  i honestly feel that, you may actually be sincere and are finally realizing that the borg is wrong. why else would you say you regret? are you beginning to realize the truth?
  perhaps this is only my optimistic outlook that eventually the WT will be discovered for the fraud that it is and the fact that it is only out for its own fullfilment.
  why else would you be posting here unless your conscience has already begun tugging at you. why else would you be reading such posts you know who we are here. doesnt this jeopardize your standing?
  how much longer will you continue to justify and play the charade

  perhaps it is "you who has the bigger issues with which to concern yourself with"

  one more thing:
  "and this loving God does not torture people in eternal torment for disappointing him."
  try being raised with the idea that the world is coming to an end at any given second. who needs eternity? when it is a very real fear to endure growing up. perhaps you are right and it is not god, but i learned that reading my watchtowers!

  what we have here is a symbolic foreshadowing and a parallel between jesus and ct russell.
  jesus foreshadows ct russell. jc founder of christianity and russell founder of jw's.
  the missing years of jesus parallel the missing years of watchtower artcles and whereabouts of the GB.

  we need the antithesis of all the good our faith will represent, we need a challenger and opposer, we need that force that will bring on rain on baseball worship afternoons,
  we need a leader for our demons and she-devils, we need a bearer of false witness and director of false prophets. we need the scapegoat for our goddess' and god's mistakes (REDHORSE, FARKEL, i know you are infallible) .
  we that special someone to pass the buck to and say is responsible for all those things we chose to not accept responsability for, and that someone to accuse when our team falls in a slump.
  we need someone to sell our soul to, and we need the focus for our fear tactic indoctrination,
  I dark cloud will volunteer my services for such a duty and display this selflessness so as to blind you all to my existence, by such wit and charm my presence will go undetected, and i will be able to manipulate the games from deep down within my lair, swaying the outcomes, the odds of the spreads, even appointing the umpires and refs. i will forge a union with the governing body of our sect just to kep the balance of evil in check.

  sheer therapy! i had no idea how many feelings still remained in that shoebox in the attic.
  so after 8 years of dis-assimilating on my own, my friend riz, pointed the way here, and i am glad to know that there is a place to share, be a clown, gain some knowledge, and speak my mind amongst others that have endured this same experience.

  i draw a parallel to watching the king being knocked over, as my opponent realizes he will be checkmated, an honorable acceptance of defeat.
  i also take it as a compliment because i KNOW, the point was driven deep. so when i hear someone say get a life, it reassures me that ive got one, how else could i have irritated them so.

  hey Bruce
  Dark Cloud here, dont mean to hang over you, but i have a queston that perhaps you can answer being one of the annointed class members who will goto heaven. along with iching, i too, in my 20 years in the "service", never had the opportunity to have any kind of conversation with a member of your class. so if you can field this.
  I remember being taught that physical matter had no place in heaven and that when we died we went into the earth to decompose because we had no spirit, we WERE souls, i believe this doctrine was reiterated in the red book, you can live forever and in the blue pocket one called truth, so my question is this, if indeed we are souls with no spirit, when you bruce, pass from this realm, what part of you exactly is going to meet jesus in heaven?
  question #2, where exactly did you get the number of fallen angels from, is this a literal swap, eye for an eye, 144 for 144? cause no where that i remember, not even in the book of enoch and the fallen angels do i recall seeing this number.
  question #3, yahweh created man, thus he knows us intimately, i would say inside and out, exactly how does he need mans help in heaven? what can we tell him that he may not know?
